Methodist Home - Getting Started

Admissions

The Methodist Home admits residents in need of short and long-term care. All applicants are selected without regard for race, creed, national origin, handicap or sponsor.

Step 1: Visit us

To start the admission process, we encourage you to tour the Home to see all that we do firsthand. Don't hesitate to bring family members or friends too. For those interested in long-term care, we recommend that you contact our Admissions Department first for general information, availability and to ensure appropriate placement. Afterwards, you may bring the prospective resident for a tour so that he or she can be involved in the decision-making process.

The tour also provides the opportunity to view short-term accommodations, long-term residence rooms and common spaces - the Rehabilitation Center - and meet our treatment team members. Directions to the residence are located here.

Step 2: Talk to us

To continue with the admissions process, just call the Admissions Office or send an email to tberry@mchny.org to make arrangements to admit your loved one and complete necessary admissions documents.

Step 3: Prepare for arrival

Once accepted for admission, please bring enough seasonal clothes for two weeks. Please remember to include underwear, pajamas, a robe, comfortable shoes, slippers and personal toiletries.
